Junior Planner
Role Overview
As a Junior Planner, you will:
- Support a variety of planning projects by applying academic knowledge and gaining hands-on experience.
- Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and graphics, while learning best practices from senior team members.
- Participate in client meetings, public engagement, and project coordination as an observer and contributor, building confidence and professional skills.
- Conduct research and analysis to support planning recommendations, leveraging guidance from experienced planners.
- Engage in mentorship opportunities by actively learning from senior leaders and contributing to collaborative team efforts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative, practical solutions while expanding technical and professional expertise.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant planning experience preferred
- Degree in Urban Planning or related discipline.
- Full or Provisional Membership in OPPI/CIP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario’s land use planning system and municipal processes.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; GIS and graphic production skills are assets.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (travel may be required).

Intermediate Planner
Role Overview
As an Intermediate Planner, you will:
- Manage and contribute to municipal and land development planning projects.
- Prepare and review reports, proposals, and graphics.
- Participate in client meetings, public engagement, and project coordination.
- Conduct research and analysis to support planning recommendations.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to team development.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver innovative, practical solutions.
- Provide expert witness testimony in support of client proposals before the Ontario Land Tribunal and other judicial bodies in support of client projects.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant planning experience.
- Degree in Urban Planning or related discipline.
- Full or Provisional Membership in OPPI/CIP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario’s land use planning system and municipal processes.
